JB, looking at all the information we have, were the claws a final addition that was made after all of Logan's skeleton was replaced?

•••

Given the housing mechanism I established in “Days of Future Past” I would say the whole unit, claws included, would have been implanted in a single (prolonged) procedure.

Twice.

One scene I didn't get to do--yet--was to have some opponent pinning
Wolverine so Logan has his palms flat against the bad guy's chest. And
THEN he pops his claws.
——————-

That’s really interesting.

Back in the days of the UK X-Men fan club, the person who ran the
club, Gary Lamprey, would write a piece on the biology of an X-Man in
each issue of Cerebro, the fan club magazine. He drew a picture of the
claws coming out of Wolverine’s hand, just like that.

But as an illustration to a statement that the mechanism would prevent
such a thing happening - pure speculation predicated on the fact we
hadn’t seen it happen in the comics, but it made sense to me @ the
time.

Gorgeous page, always appreciated the love you have for Doom and his world (that Kristoff story was bonkers!)  ... and I truly appreciate the more sedate panel layout, but that might be the curmudgeon in me :) < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">

“… out of his depth.” That’s just wicked cool.

And I always welcome the Full-Body Byrne Lateral View.

I've wondered from time to time just when that started. A shot of the Vision in an issue of AVENGERS, perhaps?

Second time I've done it this issue! (And there's another one coming up in a few pages!)

As you scroll down today and hit today's page and that panel with Doom's eyes. Stunning.

Today's establishing frame and subsequent atmospheric interiors truly transport the reader to Castle Doom. Wonderful.

That last panel alone is worth the price of admission.
