JB, looking at all the information we have, were the claws a final addition that was made after all of Logan's skeleton was replaced?

Given the housing mechanism I established in “Days of Future Past” I would say the whole unit, claws included, would have been implanted in a single (prolonged) procedure.
One scene I didn't get to do--yet--was to have some opponent pinning Wolverine so Logan has his palms flat against the bad guy's chest. And THEN he pops his claws. ——————-
That’s really interesting.
Back in the days of the UK X-Men fan club, the person who ran the club, Gary Lamprey, would write a piece on the biology of an X-Man in each issue of Cerebro, the fan club magazine. He drew a picture of the claws coming out of Wolverine’s hand, just like that.
But as an illustration to a statement that the mechanism would prevent such a thing happening - pure speculation predicated on the fact we hadn’t seen it happen in the comics, but it made sense to me @ the time.

Gorgeous page, always appreciated the love you have for Doom and his world (that Kristoff story was bonkers!) ... and I truly appreciate the more sedate panel layout, but that might be the curmudgeon in me :)
