A shot of the Vision in an issue of AVENGERS, perhaps?
____
That's where those shots take me back to -- the Vision in Avengers #165. That was 1977 -- not sure if you did it before that. Maybe someone else with a better memory can recall?

Lots of highlights today: Castle Doom, Doom's eyes, the spiral staircase, the Doombots, the technology in the lab, Nightcrawler's body.I wonder what Doom is planning to do with that body. Poor Alt-Kurt can't catch a break, even though he's dead!

There's not much that can compete with my interest in Logan's real origin... but DOOM is one of those things. Damn, I'm digging this.

Does the shot of Aurora in Walt's lab (damn those metal braces!) in AF#17 count as another?

I did a quick google looking for that shot of Aurora Vinny mentioned, but couldn’t find it. What I did find was lots and lots of interpretations of Jean Marie’s original costume by different artists and cosplayers. And it struck me that many of them had the same problem with her starburst pattern that so many have with Mac’s maple leaf. Northstar, too! Doubtless I’m standing to close, but the design seems very simple to me!

What a nice page today. The close up panel with Doom’s eyes is outstanding.

The Doomstadt cutaway scene may honestly be one of the nicest pages you've ever drawn. It's really got everything - the subtlety of the character interactions, interesting panel composition, well-detailed environments, impressive (but not showy) command of perspective, great mix of 'camera' angles, cool mix of textures, cool tech, a total command of Kirby's designs but organically translated into your more naturalistic style, and the lighting in the last panel is just plain great - I can feel the soft blue(?), pulsing glow of the glass tube with Kurt's body... man. Just pure goodness.
