Amanda's and Kurt's re;ationship is perhaps the peak of Claremont nonsense. Kurt flirts with her in an early Cockrum issue, then she turns out to not only be a witch, but the daughter of the woman that raised Kurt...
DOOMBOTS! Of course Doombots... and their methods and motivations probably aren't so different.
Loving that the police aren't mutantphobes right off the bat. And... I wanna see what happens to the State Department official who tries to persona non grata Dr. Doom!
As for Amanda and Kurt... she was his girlfriend and (kind of) his step sister. Yet his first reaction when this is revealed (X-Men Annual #3?), he thinks it's TERIFFIC. Just what kind of standards did Margali raise him with?

One of many. many reasons Kurt's backstory would have been best left unrevealed.
Especially given Chris' "that's how I felt when I scripted it" approach. Clearly not a LOT of thought in these "reveals".
I guess the cop is joking, but "diplomatic immunity?"
Doombots are machines of war. If another country wanted to bring in tanks to protect their embassy, I imagine someone would object. And if those tanks went into action on a New York street, it would be an act of war, not diplomacy.
