JB: What if they were tanks driven by individual AI?

Put yourself into the world. THINK.

It is certainly fun to think about.

Even if IA in this world is so advanced that they have sentience and are considered alive, it would still be like a foreign soldier driving a tank down a New York street.

Perhaps the way to think about this in the real world and make it more logical to to consider that Doom considers himself above the law. He can send Doombots to attack someone one a crowed street; he could shoot someone in Times Square; he could organize a riot in the U.S. capital; and no one can do anything about it because he is Doom!

That makes perfect sense in the world we live in today.

JB: "You rarely find bad cops in my stories."

And I, for one, like that!

Tom Perkowitz thinks he can write John Byrne’s stories better than John
Byrne.

A gentle request, if I may. Elsewhen is such a wonderful gift...a high-point in many of our days. It's not something we asked for, nor even something we deserve, but our host has been kind enough to share it with us on a near daily basis for the past three years (give or take). The individual discussion threads are really great fun too...a place we can all get together and enjoy the gift we are being given. Let's not take the fun out of it.
Now I'm not telling you not to discuss politics, lord knows I've been involved in my fair share of political discussions around here, but there is certainly no shortage of discussion threads wherein the above comment would be more appropriately placed. I don't know, that's just my two-cents. Take it for what it's worth.

"Having said that, what an incredible coincidence eh?"

Well, once Corsair was let through, any other coincidence pales in comparison!

Glad to see that my non-speculative suspicion that they were really Doombots was correct. I always did think that they looked very similar, which you found a perfect opportunity to take advantage of.

Here’s a visit from Senor Moment: I actually redrew the Doombot heads to make them more like Kirby’s originals, then posted today’s scan having completely forgotten to replace the images. A’doy!!

Another example of Chris not allowing anyone to be “ordinary”.

As for Amanda and Kurt... she was his girlfriend and (kind of) his step sister. Yet his first reaction when this is revealed (X-Men Annual #3?), he thinks it's TERIFFIC. Just what kind of standards did Margali raise him with?

X-Men Annual 4 actually, Nightcrawler's Inferno.  One of 14-year old me's absolute favorites.  I reread it within the last couple of years, and it definitely lost some of the luster.

I am incredibly intrigued by the end of today's page.   Very curious to see how this escape attempt goes.
