Hmmm. A young Helen Hunt as Heather?

Lisa Blount--tho I did not see her until after I had drawn Heather for the first time.

JB: Do you draw the far way shot of the tent/quonset hut under magnification ? If not, its amazing the detail that you are able to get in there. Love the page.

The thing about the whole Weapon X/10 crap was that it relied on everyone accepting that every mention that there had been before, by EVERY person who wrote/spoke/read an X- Men/Wolverine comic - had been wrong.
Why the editorial agreed to that was beyond me. Weapon 10 and Scott/Emma really were the straws that killed my love of the X-Men. I'd put up with a lot, but I just couldn't go with either of those decisions.

Thinking about these recent pages today, I'm really appreciating yet another period of "lost" time – it's not measured precisely, it just is. Logan has been down a long and winding road.

Of course, I know Heather survives this encounter and goes on to be one of Logan's most trusted friends.
But given JB's 'warning', I'm still afraid for her, given she's stumbled within inches of a superhuman wild man who hasn't had any contact with people in forever...
Very cool page, Mr. B.

JB, as with other details that escape many comic artists, you draw eye glasses in a variety of styles and really well. That and Heather's curved nose are of the billions of things that stand out.
That snorting Wolverine is pretty good too!

Looking forward to Logan's first encounter with Heather & Mac. Well, OK, continuing his first encounter with Heather. Love the detail and how he looks like someone who has been away from humanity for years (or at least how I'd expect someone to look if that happened).
If it can't be Weapon 10 then is it Weapon 24 (X is the 24th letter of the alphabet)? Or is that dangerous to say (picturing some future X-writer going 'yeah, why not? Then I can have 23 steps between Cap and Logan instead of just 9). ::ducks and runs::

That last page is so good. There is no better visual storyteller than JB. An element, I feel that has been missing from the medium for a long time. Just draws the viewer in, and then that last panel.....perfect.
