Incidentally, some of you will immediately notice, I'm sure, that the issue/story title I've been using for Wolverine's origin takes on a double meaning with tomorrow's full page finale!
Love little details like Scott wearing his seat belt while Ororo is not (maybe because she's starting to change outfits, but maybe because she knows she can fly and what's the worst that can happen?) ...
Also, at this point are you an outline-direct-to-page kind of guy or do you stage rough thumbnails before hitting pencil to page?
Speaking of titles, I’ve been re-reading NEW GODS/JK4W and something hit me this morning as I was getting ready for work and looking over the cover to the next ish up in the pile. I noticed the title of the story on the cover and thought “that’s a pretty cool title” then questions started popping up.
1) when titling a story, do you worry about whether or not you’ve used that title before?
2) would it even matter to you if you had unintentionally done so?
I’ll mention, too, that at DC very often the titles on the covers were concoctions of the various editors, not me. Which is why so many depended upon dubious “humor”, regardless of the tone of the story inside.
This issue has been such an fantastic ride. JB, your Wolverine is really the only Wolverine I ever paid attention to. With these last issues, you've really given him depth beyond what I expected when I read (and reread, and reread...) your original run.
Looks as if Ororo has switched back to her old costume. Then again, she can make ANY costume she wants - so as long as you stay away from that dogawful "punk" outfit, I am interested to see her.
And Cyclops... GEEZ! Cyclops may have the most basic super hero costume of all (matched by the FF, maybe) but he always looks masterful in that outfit! YOU ARE A GENIUS SIR!
