Well, I’ve googled, and I can’t find a trace of a bearded Legion member by Dave. Hm.

This is probably too obvious to be what you're thinking of, but my mind went here: Dave kind of put a beard on TimberWolf.

I wish Marvel would make the crappy ORIGIN mini series non cannon and make JB's Wolverine origin the official cannon origin for Wolverine.

I hear you, Rick, but feel like Marvel would do something to ruin ELSEWHEN if they touched it in any way, shape or form.

JB, do you like Wolverine's original mask? You draw it so well.•• Thanks. It's a fun design but, again, has little or nothing to do with wolverines! (Legend has it that Romita thought a "wolverine" was a female wolf, but even that doesn't give the mask much sense as a design.)
** I always thought it looked like a color-reversed version of the Michigan Wolverines’ helmet.

I always wondered if that's where the blue and yellow color scheme came from.

When Wolverine first fought the Hulk (and Wendigo), was it known that his claws were adamantium and razor sharp?

When introduced, also according to what Len told me, Wolverine was 18 years old and the claws telescoped out of the gloves. “Creator’s intent” seems to have had little part in his development!

And Len intended his origin to be tied to The High Evolutionary as well.
