Explain how those who boast of their "Christian values" align with lying, cheating, P grabbing, mocking others, violence, spreading hate, etc., etc. Trump, through Putin's urging, I'm sure, has made boorish behavior the norm.
I agree with the comment above Chris Christie doesn't have much of a chance of being nominee. It's because Christie has some manners. While I don't like any Republican nowadays and Christie lost me when he quickly got in line with Trump to be near power, only to be ridiculed and eventually "stand strong" again, Christie's "decency" means he's not an option for the bloodthirsty masses.

They vote for the things they like and ignore the rest.

Yes, they basically get (in Donnie's own words) "the most religious president ever" which in a nation of separation of church and state means great, we get our wish list of forcing our values on everyone, plus banning abortions, reducing women to breeding machines, etc. Guess it's all a case of holding one's nose and voting like you note for the things they like. Besides, Jesus probably would've grabbed a few Ps and tear gassed people en route to a photo op outside a church back in his day too.

Re: Chris Christie: he always came off as smarmy to the Nth degree to me. Does anyone care about Christie as a candidate? He had zero support in 2016, is hated by the rank and file Republican. CNN gave him air time because they knew he'd take a shot at the Donald.

Christie probably has more support than Pence. Even "Mother" likely wouldn't vote for him. Amazing how they throw their hats into the ring knowing all this upfront.

"Used to be"? I'm quite sure that he still is. But he doesn't care enough about the issue either way, so he's fine about letting Abortion rights wither away if it means it helps him get elected. This is a man with no convictions (though I hope that day will end soon, wink wink).

I think the images of boxes may be creating a misperception about the facts. Trump is being charged with possessing 31 documents. The FBI recovered another couple hundred when they searched Mara Lago. Even if the documents contain several pages each, the documents at issue might be enough to fill 1-2 boxes, although they were spread out among more than that.
Yes, Trump stole documents that belong to the government, including some that are classified, and some that pertain to the national defense, and that is enough to warrant the charges against him, as well as any consequences he may face.
But the idea that he possessed mountains of government documents filling all of the boxes pictured in the indictment is inaccurate. |
