And I loved loved loved Kyle Baker's straight-up superhero work. The world certainly would have lost his classic humor and OGN stuff if he'd continued on the mainstream path, but at the time he was the artist I was most excited to see randomly on a fill-in issue, so I'm a little sad there isn't a two-year run of him on something from the era.

I don't recall Palmer inking brother Sal...+++ He definitely inked Sal at least in the Magik Limited Series (along with both John and the "lost Buscema Brother" Ron Frenz), as well as in Avengers #78.
Tom inking Ditko was a strange pair in Rom (where seemingly everyone tried their brushes on Ditko).

JB inked by Jim Aparo has always been a favorite of mine.UNTOLD LEGEND OF THE BATMAN was the first time JB was given a shot at Batman... and inked by Jim Aparo... I wanted MORE! Sad that editorial dropped the ball on this pairing -

Sore spot for me.....I remember the very first page of this ^ on Ebay, with the latest bid at $400. I assumed that it was going to go for way higher and moved on to other things.....it sold for $400. This was JB's first ever published page for DC Comics, and that alone made it significant to me. So dumb of me to let that go.

In the seventies Joe Kubert would often do layouts that were finished by other artists (his final dozen or so issues of Tarzan for example). But it was rare for him to do full pencils that he did not ink himself. One notable example of this infrequent occurrence is the Korak story in Tarzan #230... Kubert inked by Russ Heath:

I will always have a soft spot for Marvel Team-Up #82-84 and Steve Leialoha inking penciller Sal Buscema. Sal's work never looked better.

Yes. I was a kid when I bought that Marvel Team-Up off the rack and I was mesmerized.
Here is one you don't see every day. Mike Sekowsky and Tom Palmer. House of Mystery #206

As an artist, what would you think if they said "While you were sick, we got Bernie Wrightson to fill in for you."
I'd be thinking "Holy crap, I've just been Wally Pipped!"

I never knew this existed! But I found a couple of the pages online!

Speaking of Bernie Wrightson... here's another rare combo that only occurred once: Wrightson inking Steve Ditko, from Atlas/Seaboard's Morlock 2001 #3:
