BTW - Shatner wanted to do cosmic zooms like this at the start of Star Trek V to take the viewer from Sybok on Nimbus III to Kirk on Earth.   The idea was abandoned because of cost.

I wanted to see something like this with Christopher Reeve’s Superman. A down shot in the middle of Metropolis, then he stays fixed in the middle of the screen while everything drops away beneath him.
