Is it terrible that I immediately thought of the Lex Luthor storyline where he was running for President and staged a shooting to bump his polls?

A Pennsylvania DA is saying the shooter and one of the spectators are dead.
However, I watched the video multiple times and I truly believe it was staged. Since its a Republican DA saying the shooter and a bystander are dead, I'm waiting for proof.

Latest word is that what hit Trump was glass from a shattered teleprompter. If that's true, then I'm rethinking it being staged.

The Secret Service claims the shooter was killed by a member of their counter-sniper team. The Secret Service is not a political organization, and would not be party to a staged assassination attempt.

Waiting for more details but just watched how he was escorted out and that MF stops, raises his head up and start raising his fist like some photo op and they still have a hard time getting him off the stage with his antics.

Even the people around Trump would not be stupid enough to stage an assassination attempt. But he's going to benefit from this, so it's worked out just great for him.

CNN interviewed a member of Congress who was in the front row waiting to be introduced and brought up on stage. He said he saw someone in the row behind Trump get shot in the head. This was not staged.
