 | On August 12th my dad Thomas Crossman passed away. He was a kind, caring man and wonderful father.  He was a potter and attended the Alberta College of Art with Mr.Byrne.  My brothers and I loved comics and dad would tell us how he went to school with John.  Years later I found out that my dads name appeared in Alpha Flight #1.  I made a post asking John if it was indeed my dad which he confirmed. He never knew so for his birthday I found a copy and framed it open on the page.  He loved it and found it hilarious that he got tossed by Puck.  He would show it off to whomever came over and it is still proudly displayed in his house.
Thank you John for immortalizing his name in one of your comics.

I learned of Tom’s death from a mutual friend last week. Genuinely saddened. Tom was a good friend in college. Most encouraging when I began my quest to get into comics.

Thank you all for your kind words. Going through his belongings this weekend was difficult but I did find something to share with you all.
