Not to get myself accused of speaking ill of the dead, but a few decades back Peter David used his CBG column to “report” on the Marvel/Wolfman lawsuit in which I had been called as a witness. David was present for no part of the proceedings, so what he wrote was at best second hand. He misrepresented parts of the proceedings, most especially my participation, and I called upon writer Jeff Rovin, who had also been a witness, to offer clarification. David’s response was to say he preferred his version and intended to continue repeating it, even though he knew it was false. Truth can sometimes be a rare commodity on the world stage.
