I have recently got a new Samsung phone after 7 years due
to increased use at work of specific work related emergency
apps due to a cyber attack on our internal systems. Hate
setting up a new one to get it how i want it. It wasn't
letting me use the old email address that i use for
notifications here. It took a LOT of Googling and patience
to solve it, apparently i needed a new password for
security reasons, but it wasn't made clear by the on screen
error message! GRRRRRRR!

Over two  years ago, the microphone of my pretty new and costy Samsung went down. For emergeny reasons I put my SIM into my very old HUAWEI P20 just to keep going. I had to log in of course to a few apps, but everything I need is working perfectly fine. For about 2 years now, I think about getting a new phone, but the HUAWEI keeps going and going, even the battery is good.

2 weeks ago I forgot my phone in a restaurant, I was pretty shure I dropped it there. I was thinking, this is a good opportunity to get rid of of it and finally get a new one. But I went back and fetched it.

There was a time when Im was really getting into the newsest phones, Iphones at the beginning, untill I realized you hardly notice any difference between an old phone and new phone, except for spending hundreds of Euros. And the camera might be a bit better if you want to print your pictures at the seize of a square mile!

Robert, my previous phone was 7 years old, and the new one
is hardly any different, just old features work slightly
differently. I really can't see the point in "Upgrading"
every few years.
