I have a cartoon saved by Ty Templeton about when he asked Joe Kubert what his favourite tool was for inking.  Unfortunately, because of this board’s limits on image size, I can’t post it.

Why are image sizes limited here?

Inking with a brush is probably the most zen experience I've got.

It took me some time before I felt really comfortable using a brush. I love the pen brushes as I don't have to keep dipping in ink. As JB and JK mentioned, I use a plethora of tools - tech, brush, marker, gel pen (for whites), sponge. I also really like using a Q-tip to fill in blacks. The one tool I don't use much is a crowquill.
