JB - Apologies for the thread drift, but you reminded me of a proposed redesign for airplanes that looks fascinating to me, and would probably confuse the hell out of people seeing them from the ground for the first time. Link goes to YouTube.

First time I have heard of the oblique wing. Fascinating!

I find myself thinking about what other nations have to say about this data dump.

Starting with the assumption that some of these sightings are real, and countries around the world must have files of their own. What about NATO?

Neil deGrasse Tyson talks about this news story in a recent YouTube video. Link. Someday in the near future, I'm going to show Cosmos to my soon-to-be 12-year-old son.

COSMOS was a great disappointment. I could not watch beyond the first episode. Sound in space. The asteroid belt portrayed as tumbling and jostling around each other, when really they are hundreds of thousands of miles apart. Science sacrificed for visual spectacle.

Shameful.

I blame the Fox network. Wasn't Cosmos produced by Seth McFarlane? Still, I love the context deGrasse Tyson provides about how bonkers this UFO release has been due to the way they frame the information.
