I will let this video speak for itself, it’s so well done.

I will say, tho, that since the first time, reading SUPERMAN 149 has invariably brought tears to my eyes, and this review accomplishes the same.

I’ve not read that story before, but that video does a really good job of
showing it.

Mr. Siegel's marvelous writing gives the lie to any notion that before comicbooks turned "dark" decades later they couldn't be, while remaining all-ages, thoroughly mature and sophisticated.

It’s a pity so many of the Comments spring from the same kinds of smug, ennui-engorged fanboys who have done so much damage over the decades since this story was first published.
