As a generality - at what point does someone pursue defamation? Look at the body of work and the characters JB has created. How does that accusation make sense?

I do like how one Youtuber put it:
QUOTE:
| Who is this book for? Well, I would say it's for John Byrne. It was something he was doing more or less for himself. But if you're a fan of that X-Men era, or like me consider that to be the cream of the crop of X-Men stories, then this picks off right where they leave off and they fit right in. |

What a joy it is to read this book. It's a whole new experience from the original release.
Classy to dedicate the book to Len Wein and Dave Cockrum - "pathfinders" indeed.
And I really appreciate that Chris Ryall's contrinbution is mentioned in the forward and is also included in the press articles. My favorite era of JB's work is the IDW years when Chris Ryall was in charge. We got to see JB as a seasoned storyteller do some amazing work in which he stretched past his already considerable legacy. Star Trek, Next Men, Jurassic Park, Doomsday 1.0, Angel - all amazing. And STAR TREK: NEW VISIONS was groundbreaking.
Great to see Chris acknowledged - JB fans owe him a debt of gratiutde for having such good taste!

Add my name to the list of those thankful to Chris Ryall for his role as Byrne Whisperer.

The Byrnaissance is really something to behold - just caught a random Youtube comment calling JB a "national treasure"! Even though I've been looking forward to this book for so long, I never had this on my bingo card!

The big test will be if this continues to volumes 2 and 3!
