I was about to say Stan Lee must be turning in his grave, but then I remembered he moved to Los Angeles for his later career.  Jack Kirby too!

That is actually kind of a great comparison - a retiree packing it up and moving out West is a tale as old as time.

Is it? I thought the stereotype was that people retire to
Florida, and people go west for adventure and fortune.

I see more people leaving Los Angeles to retire - it can
get really expensive out here!

As a New Yorker, this saddens me. I think this move is partly being done for "tail wagging the dog" synergy reasons.
