Superman v Spider-Man has a special place in my heart, but favorite probably has to go to Darkseid v Galactus.
Special shout out to JLA/Avengers just for the gorgeous George Perez art.

Darkseid v Galactus is my favourite, because it’s Galactus by Byrne.
But X-Men/NTT will always have a special place because:
It was the first one I read
Walt Simonson’s art is amazing
I went on a NTT kick straight after at what is possibly their best story - the
first Blackstar event. What a time to get into that comic.

My favorites: - Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man (the gold standard)
- Batman & Captain America (which I hope was as much fun for our host to produce as it was to read)
- JLA/Avengers (given the premise, this had to be huge and operatic, and Perez and Busiek delivered)
- The Uncanny X-Men & The New Teen Titans (the fun of seeing those two particular sets of characters interacting--and the Walt Simonson art, holy jeez!)
I also got to thinking about some of the less lauded (and less successful) crossovers over the years. - Batman vs. The Incredible Hulk--I remember enjoying this, but not much else about it. Same with the second Superman/Spider-Man crossover, which came out around the same time, IIRC.
- Amalgam Comics--This would count as a crossover, right? Some of the character fusions were fun in a gonzo way. Of course, for every Amazon or Super-Soldier, you got at least two characters like Wonder Wasp or Lobo the Duck.
- Deathmate--The Valiant-Image crossover so catastrophic that it helped end the speculator boom!

Batman & Captain America (which I hope was as much fun for our host to produce as it was to read)••• One of my absolute favorites of my own work. Everything fell together just right. Forum member and pal Paul Gibney has noted that it came out as well as it did because I had been working on it for twenty years! ;-)

My favorite is JB's DARKSEID VS. GALACTUS: THE HUNGER -
no shade on the other wonderful titles mentioned, but
this one is the best idea, has stunning art, and is the
most engaging story. It's inherently epic with the
characters involved, and yet there are real emotional
elements that gives it an intimacy. Not somethimg you
would expect with characters of such enormity. And very
cool appearances by Silver Surfer and Orion.

I agree with pretty much all of the above, but I wanted to give a special shout-out to BATMAN/HULK - Len Wein was the best choice for writer, having worked on both of them extensively.
One little bit that I most appreciated was this - in THE DEFENDERS (courtesy of Len), Hulk would often call the other members "Bird-Man", "Fish-Man", etc.
So, what does Hulk call Batman? "Bat-Man", of course!

Len had often said that the Hulk was Marvel’s Goofy. Roger Stern disagreed and said the Hulk was Marvel’s Donald Duck. Think about it.

Yep, I heard Len say it. And it’s very much the big dopey Hulk he wrote. (Not a knock!)Rog on the other hand felt Hulk should be more explosive!

I wonder if Mr. Wein had in mind some of Goofy's "everyman" cartoons in the 50s, when Goofy would start out calm but eventually bust out in frustration...?
