I was hooked on Mountain Dew a few decades back. Ultimately, the caffeine became too much.

... truth be told I'm on my second cup of coffee this morning. It feels like I have two more to go to get me to lunchtime.

I have met the enemy and it's sugar and caffine

Every morning, I have a Mountain Dew Mini, 7.5 oz.

I have been hooked since the age of 13.

More kidney stones than I can count, but the Doc says my kidneys are still healthy.

Mountain Dew was THE soda of my childhood. When we drove across the country in the summer of 1980, it was a big fucking deal when the soda machines at various rural gas stations and campgrounds were stocked with it (they were very much in the minority).

I broke my addiction to it in my freshman year of college. It was available from the machine in the dorm laundry room for thirty-five cents a can, so it fueled many an all-nigher. One night and one can too many, I turned to my studio mate and said, fully convinced in the moment, "Justin! I'm having a heart attack!"

I wasn't, but it was the first time I'd had that anxious vibrating sensation of WAY TOO MUCH CAFFEINE, and I did not care for it. Stopped pretty much cold turkey, and knew to avoid Jolt Cola when that came out a couple of years later.

Walt Simonson and JB hangin' out and catching up on things puts a smile on my face! My two favorite writer/artists... my wish would be that they're plotting a collaboration for the near future! (Wishful thinking!)

I remember being so fond of the cover of WORLD OF KRYPTON #1, especially Superman that looked almost equal parts Byrne and Simonson at the same time!

X-FACTOR ANNUAL #4 was another favorite of mine for the same reasons.

Absolutely beautiful book. One of my faves, as well.

The triceratops was always my favorite-- probably due to reading THE ENORMOUS EGG in grade school. Always wished there was some way I could have seen one in the flesh.

I have been drinking Pepsi since birth with a slight detour on the RC highway for a few years. Zero kidney stones even though I may drink one glass of water every few months.

A co-worker of mine never drinks soda of any kind. Every few months he deals with massive kidney stones.
