I hate article headlines with opinions disguised as facts.
Even moreso, I hate the use of "we" in articles, as if it took more than one knuckle-dragger to write them.

I’m bugged by the reference to Big Bertha as an example of “fat shaming“. If anything she’s just the opposite. A character who becomes hugely obese and thru that a powerful force to be reckoned with. In this “woke” mindset it should be the super skinny characters that are seen as “fat shaming”. See my Wonder Girl and Amanda Waller. Especially Waller!!

Thinking of all the times they've cast Amanda Waller in live action as makes my head hurt. The one in ARROW was tall and thin!

Less said about that article the better. Which characters really are the worst superheroes? My least favorite are the copy of a copy of a copy of a copy type. Even then, there are ways to make characters interesting. Too often they bring nothing new to the table.

Hating on Dazzler is so joyless. Marvel Studios is going to make Dazzler: The Movie: The Movie someday and it will be beautiful.

It's 2026 and everyone has an audience, wether they deserve one or not. These sneering articles really are low blows. Never heard of a couple of those characters, but i have never had a problem with the one's i know.

Really? Only one member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes was on the list? Either get it or don't get it.
And Aquaman? The first movie made over a billion dollars. How much do you have to do to gain a little respect?

I liked Big Bertha is WCA, and would have happily paid to read about her team’s adventures if JB and Marvel had gone that route. (Did Doorman fly in that issue? I need to reread it.)
It’s a pity that the term “woke” has been so misused that it’s become a joke. At this point, a moratorium on its use might not be a bad thing.

It is common among so many self declared “fans” to view the comics they read—if, indeed, they are actually reading them—through their own immediate experience, without considering broader context. This is not new. When I was starting, in the Seventies, I often complained of fans and even fellow pros who had “no sense of history.” Who could not place the proper where-when-how-why of stories written (and characters created) years and even decades earlier.
