When I decided to make this definitive tribute to John Byrne's art by tattooing my forearm with art inspired by his comics, I knew that I had many emblematic panels of different characters but I ended up focusing on 2 periods that I have a special memory, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men books.
It seems like a simple thing but Stela and I spent many hours putting together this puzzle, choosing the sizes of each panel... Third session completed. 18 hours in total.
Now I have to wait for it to heal but I'm very happy immortalizing it these arts that represent such a happy period in my life.

Those turned out great - years ago, I was at a bar and noticed the bartender had a Wonder Woman tattoo that used John's version, but I didn't ask him if had chosen that particular image because he was a fan of the artist.

Very well done. I like your incorporation of panels along with more free images.

I consider myself among Mr. Byrne's biggest fans. But I moved down one spot on that list today.

The first (?!?) time that someone has tattooed an actual drawing OF JB onto themselves?

Surely not the first. His stuff is so iconic that it's everywhere. Shows up on lots of merchandise. I imagine, given the number of people out there getting tattooed these days, that these are far from the first. But I'm betting they're the most impressive!
