It's based off the box art from the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game.

Whose Batman: B&W is that supposed to be?

It was developed using actual character designs from the game Batman: Arkham Asylum.

(I am obviously the slowest typist.)

 QUOTE:
if you're going to start questioning how armor or mail can cling so tightly to the muscles, it's time to stop reading superhero comics!!

Yeah, it's probably time I stopped doing a lot of things. But in all honesty, the question of what Thor is wearing didn't occur to me when I saw it in the comics. It was only when I saw it literalized on that sculpture that it occurred to me that I don't understand what it's supposed to represent.

This isn't like Captain America's chicken feathers. Even if I don't like those, I understand what the artists are trying to represent. When I see those cross-hatches on Thor, I don't know whether I'm supposed to be looking at metal, or quilted padding, or what.

I'm half with you, Ray. Even in the pictures from the comics, the armour reminds me of a patterned blanket my mom owned when I was a kid. It's not that I don't believe armour can cling so tight - look at Iron Man, Magneto, Scorpion, etc - it's just that sometimes it looks a little too padded to be metal.

I really don't understand the appeal of faux bronzing.

Social appearance.

It's cheap but it looks (supposely) expensive…

I like that Psycho-Man bust but it lacks that Jack Kirby touch!

I agree, armored character should be easier to capture Kirby's style?
Same feeling with Galactus.

I watch Superhero Squad with my two girls. Our favorite episode is the story line with Ms. Marvel & M.O.D.O.K. So I had to do it.....
