Thanks Flavio.  I really like Wagner's deceptively simple style.  My next Batman is a radical departure from my usual commissions--art by Simon Bisley.  Waiting on a scan

This appeared in a Detective Comics ish which was the first time I saw Alan
Davis. Blew me away.

That run of Detective Comics was one of my all-time favorites.  I was actually able to buy them all from my local 7-11.  Ah, the fond memories of 7-11 hot chocolate and Batman.

The four pages I posted here exemplify pretty well how word balloons and
concise storytelling used to mean that each page told a story.
