One of my favorite series in the 80s was New Teen Titans, while George
was the co-creator my favorite artist on the series was Eduardo Barreto. I
contacted him a while back and bought a number of pages from the
series. I later met him at San Diego and and he did a sweet Starfire for
me. After that I talked to him about doing a Starfire commission for me.
Last year he had the time and I gave him a few ideas to include in the
piece.
Yesterday I received the finished art and it blew me away. One of the
things I love about Ed's work is his compositions and this is one of his
best. Looks like it was done for a recent comic, the logo included really
nailed it.
I am thrilled with the results, plus he added a little bonus (what doesn't
belong in this piece?).

A lot of lovely new pieces to be sure.

And Brad, that JB Superman you snatched up looks mighty angry.  I wouldn't want to be whoever got him that riled up.

Every piece everyone received looks amazing.  I am jealous.

Looks like I need to take time out of my schedule and start hitting NY again.  =)

NYCC 09: Leonard Kirk was a very pleasant guy and I was lucky to grab these two pages from him. The Captain thaw-out page is especially striking.

You know Fred...it's quite possible that we could have been standing next to each other this past weekend, without recognizing each other.  I looked for guys that look like you, but to no avail.  Ah well, maybe in 2010!!

NYCC 09: Stephane Roux is a cover artist whose name I had not been conscious of until wandering past his table. I picked up these two prints along with a few sketch books. If Adam Hughes isn't careful, this guy is going to steal his thunder. ;)
