That is indeed Ares by Ed McGuinness. It's the' villain' variant cover of Incredible Hercules #124.

what a day ive had ! started the day with the Smitty scan, and this scan has just now popped into my inbox.Anyone who knows me,knows how much this character means to me,and to have this sketch done by this fella is somewhat of a collecting grail for me.i can probably retire now . . . . .
