Not really a sketch but I made and rendered a robot head in Blender (a free 3d package). I used the "sculpting" tools with the symmetry turned on and a light "toon-shade" in rendering (which unfortunatly called obvious banding in the background....Aaand I see some jpeg artifacts around the outline of the thing now too. Great. Sigh) Matrerial was a white plastic.I may or may not texture this since I was just playing with the sculting tools and seeing how casually I could make something with them. Actually it went pretty quickly.. I was kind of thinking of Ice Pirates when I made it. I guess I should have given it a less cluttered yet round design.
