Al:  I can honestly say that I've never read anything by Keith Giffen, so I couldn't tell if you're right or not.  Maybe we have some of the same influences.  On reflection I can see a bit of Alex Toth in there as well.  Although not enough for my liking.

Actually talking of sequencial art, as I was upthread, here's a couple of pages from a strip that's due out in May.

I mean like just killer artwork in general.

Blacks in all the right places, nice composition on all the panels, and "paced"
really well.
