Mac, glad i can be of some inspiration. Especially if it's gonna get you to post more great art.
I think i'm gonna do it again for my 2000th post. With alot more characters.

Great job on the Inking Darren, not only does Nudge look great, but the reflective surface on Robotman sells the page.

That is a tough one my friend. I've always seen myself as a penciller who "moonlights" as an inker.
That said they are both -so- different beasts I feel that i like them both equally but for completely different reasons.
In case you really want an answer and I am to assume that I can only
ever do one, for the rest of my life. I'd go with Pencilling as this
would allow me to keep in tune with the "creation" process.

Thanks Justin. I just loved this classic Byrne action pose for nudge.
Everything about her was quality JB. I haven't been -too- keen on the
"reflective" surfaces that John's done for Robotman throughout this
series but it was such a small quibble I've never raised it. Here
though I played around a little with the look of it.

Vlad, that looks like it took some serious time. Was the star field done with brush spatter? Also, what media/technique did you use for the rings?

Thanks Marc. I work 100% digitally in Photoshop, so no brush there. The
stars are actually a photograph of space that has been, duplicated,
blended, stamped, filtered, and opacity reduced. The rings are simply
circular selections that have been stroked.

Oh! I didn't know that. I would love to experiment with digital inking, but it was trying enough learning to color with photoshop. I'm impressed.
