hey guys,
been a long time between posts for me.
over the thanksgiving holiday,i suffered a stroke in my right eye.
its related to my having diabetes.and as a consequence of this ive lost partial vision.
its been a rough holiday season, but i think its gonna be ok.this post represents the first drawing ive done since my stroke.im slowly getting used to drawing again, but i still feel like my line work is a little shaky.

Ed: Line work looks fine to me. So sorry to hear
about your eye. Just for my own info . . . what was
that like? Did you just suddenly lose vision in that
eye or what? How long have you had diabetes?

Ed, I'm really sorry to hear that you've been having a rough time of it! :( I hope that you get better soon!

That drawing is so great! Very funny too.

thanks bill and chris,
the vision loss was very sudden,it very much felt like a flash bulb had gone off in my eye.i was afraid that i would totally go blind and never be able to draw again.but my condition has stabilized and im getting used to it.its not a total blindness ,i just have a spot in my field of vision that is "rubbed out".i have been a diabetic for the last 17 years.

Aww man, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it does improve! It doesn't seem to have effected your art though, that Hulk is freaking great!

Ed, your drawing is great. And I don't see anything wrong with your lines. I am sorry to hear the bad news regarding your eye. But don't worry, it will be OK. I have been a one-eyed guy all my life. And still, I can draw things and make a living of it. I will eve  say that it kinda help me for the backgrounds as I have a  continuous " flat " vision !

( now Chris don't go to do that :

to improve your background skills !).

Chris, by the way, your Sue Storm looks great, I love the face!

Darren, I don't comment on your work. It is way too great at many levels... and my quality of drawings is so low compared to yours, that I just would end up making a fool of myself commenting them.

Ed I’m a fellow diabetic who also has eye problems, although not as drastic as you. I had to have cataract surgery a couple of years ago to my left eye and feel that the right is soon to follow. I keep good control onmy diabetes but sometimes things just don’t work out too well. Being 6’8” tall the diabetes play hell on my feet, let me correct that, foot, since I lost my left foot eight years ago. I’m not able to do everything I used to be able to do, but I get around pretty well, so for that I am thankful. My thoughts are with you and I greatly hope that your condition does not get any worse. Peace be with you.
