I've pretty much disliked all of Ironmans' armour designs...after his new armour following the first Armor Wars. His recent armours IMHO have been technologically over-designed monstrosities. Ironman hasn't looked like Ironman in a very long time.
I decided to give him a more classic look by combining 2 of my favorite armours. The Mk3 golden avenger and the Mk7 silver centurion ( plus some other design tweaks ).

Brad, I totally agree with you! I like what you've done here. I don't know about the clat piece over the groin area, but I like the design overall!
...but then again, I'm biased:
