What am I missing?

=====

People just don't go to many individual sites or forums these days. On Facebook, it's a larger group of people to interact with. The searchability is way better. It's a site where most users are already lingering and posting...it's the same place where Walt Simonson's fan page (including Walt), Ron Frenz, Mike Mignola, Paul Smith, etc,. etc.  It's easy to share and comment.  The user interface is way superior (especially on mobile devices).  And people feel more free to offer a critical opinion. I don't consier that talking behind JB's back...moreso just things I wouldn't necessarily feel comfortable saying here (.ex. "I loved this issue, but I could have done without X." )   Most entertainers, brands, etc. see a much bigger audience from their social media pages and feeds than they do from their own web site.  I

Bull. Comments like that happen here—and sometimes worse!

For those interested, here is how the moderator posts the Elsewhen updates on the Byrne Victims page. A snippet from the page with two links directing people to the Forum.

I was going to respond to JB, but then saw this.  Pretty much all of this.  Easier to use on mobile devices is a BIG thing now.  People tend to browse the internet on their phones more and more, and it's much easier to post a comment there, in comparison to here.  It's nothing personal, but there is no real way of competing with FB in comparison to a message board like this one with getting users together.

I really don’t get it. Typing is typing. I post mostly from my iPhone (as now) and have no trouble.

There are a small handful of people are on
the Facebook page mainly to make negative
comments about JB's work. It is pretty
obvious they have some kind of grudge.

I frequent both places because people will post rare art on the Facebook page I've never seen.

Often, people will find somethink and post 'Look what I found..'

I always view the X-men pages here because I like how they are presented here and I feel like here is where I am likely to get the best resolution (assuming there might be some sort of compression on FB.)

Also, I know you don't want people reposting them so I get them from here and direct anyone who might be interested here.

Plus, you're here. Why wouldn't I want to ask questions about the pages from the guy who drew them?

It's also nice to have everything in one basket.  With FB you a bit of everything.  From friends posts, news, and all of your favorite appreciation pages.  For me there JB, Romita Jr. etc, all in one spot.  Plus all the visual that are associated with all of these.

The main reason I pop up here is to just hear what JB is saying on current events, art, etc.

The "Byrne Victims" title seems poorly chosen, pun and all. If anything, it suggests Bad Byrne, doesn't it?

I've been a fan of JB's for well over four decades and... well, I'm a... victim...?

Someone went into a lot of details about that title yesterday on FB.  It's not what you think.

Do a lot of websites need “a lot of trouble” to be taken to explain their names?
