I can't stop looking at that gorgeous chair in the rubble. I want one.•• Yours for the asking!

Hah! That's awesome. I just had a mod 60s chair reupholstered in a similarly wild color this month.

Looking for reactions to ELSEWHEN other than here, I found a very strange discussion. Some very positive comments, but so many were of the "too many notes" variety, as if the writers had master keys they just HAD to use. "Old stuff was better", of course. "Better if Terry inked it." "Better if Claremont wrote it." One even said I had "already done this in HIDDEN YEARS", which misses the point of BOTH series.------------------------------------------- This is such an exciting and enjoyable series. Why can't people take that for what it is? It's like they have to look for something negative or condescending to say or else they've failed themselves. What a weird way to live.

The daily cliff-hangers are absolutely brutal.
Thanks for making things fun.

“I think Spider-Man is talking to Kurt”
Could be. Spidey was close when the Sentinel(s) attacked Nightcrawler, but so much time has passed between Nightcrawler’s abduction and return it could be the coroner on the scene. Besides, we already know Spider-Man participated in the Sentinel battle.

I look forward to learning who it might be dropping in on Kurt. I have some ideas but all the ones I have in mind are staggeringly improbable.

These pages are absolutely beautiful! The flow and perspective from one panel to another are perfect for telling the story. Nightcrawler has always been a favorite of mine, and no one draws him better than JB.

The only thing that could make this series better is if you actually paid me to read it.
It's a powerhouse return to a powerhouse series by an artist/writer who is laying out 110% on every page and giving it away for free.
I pity the fool that receives this and scurries off somewhere on the internet to bitch about it.
Make Mine Elsewhen!

Maybe I just particularly like your Nightcrawler (okay remove the maybe), but another really lovely page. Wonderful tight details in that last panel but the "speed lines" or whatever you call those simple indicators of Kurt's pivoting head really drive it home.

Every panel looks amazing. We've seen that first panel before, of course, but I'm struck by how good the foreshortening is there. That is difficult stuff to pull off convincingly and it looks great. So much conveyed in the body language in the other panels as well.

Folks saying "the older stuff was better" are wearing rose-colored glasses about the past. It WAS great, but ELSEWHEN is topping it on many levels.
I do have a post about the "old-stuff" (the original Savage Land issues and Wolverine) percolating in my mind, but I haven't had time to pull it together. Is it OK to post it here? Perhaps the first ELSEWHEN thread?
