One word...

...if it's the right word.

Nice.

Though I've only seen it from the aforementioned Hulk Annual 7 and
this brief re-glimpse, I've always loved Angel's super cool house, too,
though I know nothing of its origins. Was that created by you John?

*******

Was this not the same house drawn in UX-M around Dark Phoenix
time? 130-something?

But... "BIN a while, huh?" (emphasis added.) I'm not sure how to differentiate between pronouncing "been" and "bin." And in the end... is that the style in which Warren speaks? I usually think of him as a bit hoity-toity, and proud of his speech.

"Bin" is like "sez". Slang spelling that actually sounds like the word is pronounced, as opposed to "been" or "says".

And, sure, Warren is upper crust, but he talks like "reg'lar folks" from time to time.

First drawn by me, I think yes

The elegant curves mixed with straight lines and a high tech feel looked like your handiwork...

You're right, Brian. As soon as you mentioned it I recalled it!

I'm just catching up, and wow! This is great, and Angel
(and Storm) looks amazing on the newest page. Wow!

The entrances of the real Iceman and Angel have been really well done. There's a really nice contrast between the nasty alts and the heroism of the untainted originals that makes the characters seem completely different.

Nice little cabin Warren has there.

Great drawing of the Watcher in the final panel. You see how big he is, and that combination of massive size with his slimness adds to his alien weirdness.

This past weekend I did a new cover for a Spanish HC reprint of DANGER UNLIMITED.

Don't suppose revisiting DU for a cover has made you itchy at all ... ?!

Not really. It was fun, but it also reminded me of how TEDIOUS Belabet is to draw!!

Thanks!

But if I can be curmudgeonly for just a moment, the "Chief" nickname has been long since set aside. It serves now only to remind me of less happy times.

Man, I love that panel where Bobby first sees his double. Great use of the windshield to show us what he's seeing from his perspective.

Great point. Not a lot of artists would make use of such imagery.
