I'll cross my fingers, with the understanding that if you win the lottery, you get me another JB goodie. ;)

Looks awesome, Marc.  Two week is considered fast?  I give my guy a hard time if I can't pick it up within a week.

Nah, but it took me 6 months to get it there, so 2 weeks to get it back was nothing.

I want to thank Mr. Byrne again for the excellent art.
I got this back from the framers last week...it took
three weeks. The girls love it and enjoy trying to copy
it.

I took my first JB commission in to be framed this afternoon so hopefully I'll have a nice piece to contribute to this thread in a few days!  It felt like I was dropping a kid off to his first day at kindergarten!  I'm nervous not to have it here at my house!

How well I know how you feel, Joe! Some of the stuff I have taken in for
framing has been literally irreplaceable. In fact, make that MOST of the stuff
I have taken in for framing!!

I had this thought when I was having my JB Alpha Flight pages (from the comic, not a commission) framed: what if the guy at the store stole them and replaced them with photocopies or something? How would I know? Fortunately, there seemed to be enough identifiers on the original art that even through the glass I could tell that it was my originals!

Well....I'm not quite as paranoid as Glen!  My fear is more the people just not respecting the piece for what it is.  I'm sure they would have no idea how much it cost!  I made it a point to talk about how special the piece was to me as we were discussing the specifics of how I wanted it framed.

I freaked out internally when I went to pick up mine from the framer, to find that he had hung it on the wall right after the entrance, alongside some framed photos of families and landscapes and whatnot. I guess he was trying to show off his handiwork. He stood about 15 feet away from there, behind the counter, so someone could have easily walked into the store and ran off with it. There was no harm done, so I didn't say anything, but STILL!!!!

I did the exact same thing, Joe.

Finally had my pieces hung in the office. * Still amazed at how the discolorations that show up in scans and photos of my Andru piece are nearly invisible to the human eye* College students coming in for counseling are going to be in for a bit of a surprise if they had preconceived ideas of what to expect...
