Come to think of it, dispatching the National Guard to the largest city on the West Coast the same week as an Army parade in the nation's capitol is a brazen assertion of military occupation.

For me the "distraction" was Musk and Trump having their little tiff with each other (Musk being out of the Gov is one as well since he already did the damage and left his little cronies running it) but calling in the National Guard is rife with brining us closer to Marshall Law because that shitstain couldn't be bothered with calling the National Guard on Jan 6th 2021

He sent his goons to attack the capital. He stole and shared Top Secret documents.
His top-aid spent hundreds of millions to
(in his own words), "buy" re-election. The same top-aid called for his impeachment and removal. He claims to have evidence that the elected President is a rapist of children.
He sent unidentified agents to snatch people off the street for shipment to gulags in El Salvador. He defied the court orders issued to stop him. He started trade wars with all our allies. He solicited bribes to remake foreign policy to support Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Qatar.
Then he ordered "at least" 2000 troops to occupy Los Angeles against the wishes of the California governor.
Dark days for America.

Expecting Trump to be punished for anything during his lifetime is a pipe dream. I'm just pulling for the MAGA movement to be fully done before I am. I don't want to live the rest of the (hopefully several) decades left to me inside the asshole-fueled funhouse/terrordome that is Trump's vision of America.

The media is doing a horrible job conveying that a few hundred people at a Home Depot parking lot is not an insurrection and that a group of agitators setting fire to five self-driving cars does not equate to “Los Angeles being burnt down by rioters”. How many different angles of the same burning Waymos do we need to see?
And now Trump is sending in the Marines? Ridiculous theater.

Looks like we have our backdrop for the summer.
ICE agents and the military roaming the streets of our cities looking for "criminals".
The White Brains Grifter has the military people in place that will not question his (possible/soon to be) orders of shoot to kill. Remove all doubt (POC, female, LGBTQ) from positions of high authority and let craziness begin.
People in the Latino/Hispanic community, please don't do anything to give this asshole any reason to make matters worse.
