Ted, your Kubert Hawkman is awesome! I'm glad you were able to get a Kubert.
Craig, those are some really nice DD pieces.

Something vaguely amazing about looking at that Kubert Hawkman piece
and thinking three days ago this was a blank piece of paper. . .

Was Yngwie known when Spinal Tap came out? Both Spinal Tap and Marching Out came out in 84.
I remember the Tap guys commenting on the Making of Stars Video about why THEY weren't playing...
Come on Glenn, give us a vote!

Greg Theakston was selling some of his DC Comics Presents # 84 pages on eBay. The book featured the work of Kirby and Toth. Theakston inked everything on vellium and then pasted it to a standard comic board. While it isn't a Kirby, the price was really cheap, so I couldn't turn it down. There are lots of white-out on this page, each covering up a floating Superman head. I doubt it is visible in the scan but I can see it on the page.

And... to actually comment on the art....
These Kubert sketches are just blowing me away. They look completely effortless. Unbelievable. I'd love to just stand behind him and watch him do these....

Artist Jamal Igle did this con sketch of Green Lantern for me a few months back. I decided to have it inked. I contacted Terry Austin's art dealer and asked if Terry could ink the piece and add some backgrounds. I couldn't be more thrilled with the result.
