well....i used a photo reference for that drawing.....and i think the idea was to contrast the black gun metal with polished chrome........i didnt want to over render the chrome.i wanted a very clean gun for harveys "good side".

One of my heroes. Glaswegian singer Alex Harvey, he was a marvel comic fan and you could hear this in his lyrics. This was my tribute to him, he died in the eightys.

Look!  I actually drew something.  He's pretty stiff, but the anatomy is a breakthrrough for me.

Can anyone offer some suggestions on his right leg?  It looks a little wonky to me.

James - Very cool illustrations.  I love the boar character and the colors on the second one are very cool.

Ed & Sergio - very nice stuff.

Sergio - Wonderfully stylistic!  Looks cool.

Ed - I love the perspective, shading, and his anatomy.  I'd love to have that kind of command of anatomy.

One thing I'll add, and in NO way is this a CUT, take a look at these pics of Olympic archers:

If you look at the hand that holds the arrow, they typically use three fingers together - sometimes even using a release mechanism as well.  I think if you incorporate this into future illustrations of Hawkeye, it will bring it to the next level.

Lets see more, guys!!  Where's Darren these days?
