"Yes" thanks Vlad. So far, we've had the same four Chanook's fly eight sortee's over us accompanied by two single rotored Helicopters. As I type this a Jet just went over head.
The "returning" Chanooks are flying very low, it's quite something seeing the twin rotors in action, the noise is incredible.
They're dropping off "Riot police" and returning for more "Riot police".
However, having spent a short time in the military, I'm pretty sure that SAS are involved. (Not in the fly-by's)
The worrying thing is that with everyones attention diverted by the glowing ray of hope that is the G8 meeting the rest of the country is more vulnarable to domestic issues!
So far though I've resisted the temptation of BandE or getting into a fight;-)

It's good to see some new work from Gordon, been a while since I've seen any of his work. |

Well you very nearly -didn't- see this one...Gordon wasn't happy with it at all, well besides the boots. I thought he wasn't going to let me post it! Thankfully he saw sense;-)
But we should all encourage Gordon to post more of his artwork, I've seen tons but he's zero confidence and now next to zero computer! (Sorry Gordon, couldn't resist that one buddy!)

"Yes", wouldn't it just James! As -another- fellow Scot, Gordon should be better representing his Country, right James! Instead of leaving it to you and I...damn unfair if you ask me. In fact it's his civic duty I'd say!!
;-)
Nice Machine Man BTW James.

It's very nice work dude, you did some terrific lighting. The only
suggestion I have is to carry over some of the that yellow highlight you
have on his arm, to other places like the shoulders, hair, etc
~~~~~
Thank for the kind words, Vlad. Much appreciated. I thought
about using the yellow as highlights, but just got tired and forgot to
do it. You are correct though, that would be proper to do.
Fellow JBF member, Gordon Somers, was around here for a
visit at the weekend past with wife and children in tow. I manged to
thrust a drawing pad into his lap during the day and he fired of a
quick ten minute sketch, which I then inked.
His computer isn't working at home, currently and therefor his only
access to the board is through the computer he uses at work (which
ofcourse he only does during his lunch break, right! ;-)
Darren - do you think he and/or you would mind if I colored Cap?
Thanks Matthew, I had fun with this one, but I don't think I want to draw
that costume again anytime soon. :)
Don't blame you. Can you imagine if you had to draw it in a regular series?
