Hey A-
Yeah, i know but ED has to have this stuff to the printers
yesterday, so i let go. Sometimes you have to.
That foot was bugging me too, I would have loved to redraw the
page but thats the biz!
As long as his schedule is not affected by me I'm happy(so is,

Heres the cover to that issue.
Based on the THOR cover, it's basically the same cover, if you
do a "homage cover" just redraw the damn thing!! Who are you
trying to fool?
I think KIRBY would approve.

Great job on these pages.  The background doesn't bother me a bit (photo) and I didn't even notice the heel/thigh thing until it was brought up.

Thanks Anthony.  I'm trying to follow your and the other Anthony's advice about using looser pencils and trying not to do a straight trace.

For Everyone - I'm very open to critique (other than "you suck - all you do is trace!").  Please let me know what works and what doesn't.  I really want to learn more and it's apparent to me that everyone here is very talented and can give me really good imput.

I think you did a really good job on the illustration. I'm glad your client is happy with it and to tell the truth i'm not surprised either. In fact i would have been shocked had he been. :)

Anthony, cool take on the classic Kirby cover. It's very interesting that you chose to use the " Kirby anatomy" instead of using your own style.

Yeah, When the editor requested the cover I saw this in my
head and drew it as i would but then i realized how incredible
the original was and why bother, so using Kirby as a template
i put in my characters and Ta-da!!
It worked. Any of his covers can work even today. A testatament
to his layout genius.
