JB, this has been magnificent and I've loved the journey. The final page and your 'dedication' nearly brought a tear to my eye. Thank you!

Argh!+++

People come here for "hot takes", just like any other
media entertainment.
The pages have been posted on many other sites (at least
3 different Facebook Groups, Tumblr, Instagram, Vero,
etc.), and are most likely on thousands of hard drives.

The views should be 100k ...or more...too bad this can't be fixed.

Wow. Imagine if I charged a buck for each view!

(Well, Disney's lawyers would eat me alive, so maybe not...)

And now, the George Lucas part of my brain starts squirming. I've not previously had a whole issue sitting in the drawer, "finished". Usually I send stuff off the moment it's done, so I don't have the urge to twiddle and tweak endlessly.

But this job has nowhere to go!!

I think the popularity of this thread pays tribute to your enduring appeal in conjunction with the X-Men.

I personally prefer your work on the FF, but there can be little doubt that your work with X-Men is a legendary part of comic book history.

In terms of tweaking -- as a lay-person reader, everything seemed good straight off the bat. I'd love to read a script for the whole issue, if you were so inclined, but really I've hugely enjoyed what you've given us so far.

It was a massively unexpected and truly appreciated gift. Just hope Kitty is all right :)

And to add another thought:

I think your story here add perhaps the most cogent argument against aging characters. The Kitty Pryde depicted here is so vibrant and fresh and fun; I don't see what is to be gained by aging such a character.

So a forever teen-aged Spider-Man ala Ditko? I wouldn't mind a bit more Ditko always being in Spider-Man myself.

I wish there could be a couple years more of issues of X-Men comics like these. I'm amazed at what we have gotten though. Why can't it be easy for people to make comics like this? It looks easy sometimes, but so very rare in reality. Here we know what we have been missing.

JB:

Thank you. This was phenomenal. Your presence at DC and Marvel is
sorely missed. I wish this were a monthly but beyond gratified to have
visited these characters one more time.
