Paul I am seeing a nice progression in skill.

Of all your tools, which produces the thinnest line?

Bold choice Paul.  I applaud you for doing the mundane stuff!! This is the stuff editor's will look at because they're sick only looking at the super-hero stuff... being able to do the realistic stuff well is equally important.

Thanks, Shane! Yes, I do enjoy inking the non-superhero stuff - sometimes that's even more fun to ink especially if done by JB because of his use of clothing, different nationalities as evidence in that last page.

Thanks, Steven! I am constantly looking at other inkers in the past who I admire. Currently studying John Beatty over JB's pencils.
The thinnest pen I use is .005 (micron) which I use a lot

Whew!
Don't know what I was thinking doing this one!

Nice! I was wondering if somebody was going to tackle that page and share it here. :-)

Thanks, Matt! That page was definitely one of the more challenging because it's so detailed. Of course, when it's finished, I always see things that I want to re-do. Especially when posted in smaller format. I've already gone back and tweaked the posted image. It's funny how different you see the page when it's reduced down to comic size.

That "Doom Lab" page is on my table along with pages from Ivan Reis, Anthony Marquez, Greg Capullo and Roger Cruz. Gearing up for NY so one day I will post it here. =)

Paul, I was thinking the floor surfaces are more shiny like chrome instead of wood. Something to consider? What did you find the most challenging about the page? I am dreading the process of filling blacks.

Eric - you're right about the flooring. I added the 'wood' texture to it at the last minute and regretted it. I've since made a correction and re-posted without it.
Easily the most challenging was the electronic gadgets lining the walls - that took a lot of tedious straight line work. Also, the circular lines around the tank was frustrating for me.
Looking forward to your take on that page!
As a side note, I have also been inking lots of other pencilers - Ivan Reis, Alan Davis, Art Adams, Brett Booth and others. I need to find a place to post them! Luckily for me, I have the most fun inking John Byrne's work and can post those here!

Sketchbook thread is a good spot for other work. Seems like a catch all.

Logan’s pose is a real treat to ink. Interesting lighting, I think from the portal he slipped through, or maybe just the previous room.

Craig--That's really neat to see that page inked!

I'm going to have to try that because it just looks like too much fun!
