Job vs hobby (obsession?).

Very interesting comment from JB.

Films, TV shows, comics - these are our hobbies, we pour over them, we
obsess over them, we remember tiny facets & make that facet soo
important.

Bits may have stuck in the creator’s mind, but a lot will be jettisoned - won’t
be needing that again, time to move on to the next job.

I remember highlights from my first job, but I’ve not worked there for 16
years, so it is the big things I remember.

Certainly not the ‘fire & forget’ things I did.

Now imagine that with the longer term series vs things like this one off thing
this thread is discussing.

I can totally see how we may look @ something, think ‘Wow, what’s the
story here?’ & be met with a ‘That was like two, three hour thing, I have no
memories of the process’ reply.

What did you do on 25th May 1997?

Yeah, I’ve no idea either.

"As they drew nearer, Fry realized the man was shouting
“Flanders pigeon murderer!”"

**

Now I find myself wondering if Tony Robinson has ever had
anyone run up and start shouting "BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM".

I recall this line of titles.  Only one called "Teenagents," which was written by Kurt Busiek, was any good.

When you can't vividly remember every single page of Ditko art you inked, you know you've achieved a certain status.

Literally speaking, I wonder how many pages that would take? I would guess that after you've inked 3 Ditko pages, the details would start to get fuzzy.

Let me think. How many have I done in my life? Hard to recall for sure, but I think it's around zero.

Ha! Yes. "Which Ditko picture was that again?!"

That's a good problem to have.
