Neal showed me how he was holding the pen to be able to draw without  tiring his hand when doing a lot of work. Is this a particular craft thing? Do you know if Kirby had a similar ’trick’? Do you?

I had a (now deceased) friend in College who was ambidextrous. It was fascinating to watch him bounce his pencil from hand to hand as he drew.

(I have not once experienced my hand getting tired from drawing.)

I had a bump on my index finger, resting my pen on the joint when I drew  and eventually it made drawing difficult. I had to learn to hold the pen differently. I guess its a different journey for every artist.

I also had an artist friend who was ambidextrous. It was intimidating to watch him use both hands at the same time!!
