A gal pal recently told me she’s taking up astrology because she wants to understand the larger truths.

It's hard to break off a belief system like that, even if it's just a low level hobby. You're shedding yourself of the core human belief that you're at the center of existence, and the belief you're trading it in for is that you do not matter at all.
