Storm vs Thor - the battle we ALL wanted to see! Brute force vs detail and degree!

I would've though Nightcrawler vs Fandral and Cyclops vs Hogun - just goes to show!

Details at the end - Kitty has a good grip on Professor X, ready to phase him out of danger. And Bobby wasn't Iceman in the mansion, so he's just icing up - BEAUTIFUL!

The details of this fight, if it goes on, will be DELICIOUS! NO ONE can surpass your art, Mr. Byrne! And there are only one or two to equal it. Great!

Steven Q. - we must wonder if parrying Cyclops is really as having a big mirror? Or would it shatter? And Cyclops does not always look cool... until you let a pro like Mr. Byrne (or maybe Alan Davis, George Perez, Walt Simonson) get his hands on the character - and then Cyclops is as cool as a polar bear's testes.

I'm pleased to see that our merry mutants are not being bulldozed by the Asgardians.

It never even occurred to me to use Cyclops' beam to counter a sword before. That's an awesome use of the power. I bet it's like trying to go hand-to-hand against someone with a really precise high-powered hose, like from a fire hydrant.

I kind of wish Wolverine had tagged along now, just to see what a handful of angry Asgardians could do to him.

JB, I recall you shared with us once a notebook page that listed a one-sentence-per-issue breakdown of what was to come in UNCANNY X-MEN.
Are you doing something similar with ELSEWHEN, writing out a rough story map for upcoming issues and where the "future pages" might fit?

No. I’m allowing myself a greater degree of spontaneity, here.

There haven't been a whole lot of X-Men/Asgardians cross-overs have there? I can only think of the Havok story in Marvel Team-Up and those few Art Adams annuals/specials.

I can’t help wishing a bit more than usual that there was a cover on this
issue.

“Adventure, as you like it: X-Men vs. THOR!”
