At the risk of thread drift, I agree with JB’s assessment of the linked article. Anyone who criticises either of those designs is an idiot. Galactus is one of THE best designs ever created.

I went to a show on pre-Columbian art and culture at the Natural History Museum. All those Central and South American societies. The effect was remarkable. It was like strolling thru Jack Kirby’s head! The roots of Galactus were very much in evidence.

I see there’s a Thing diorama coming. Looks pretty heavily influenced by my version. McFarlane toys, unfortunately.
