But it looks so faithful to Kirby's drawing style; Kirby pretty much drew the
ugliest Superman.

I'm getting it more for my love of Kirby's art and style than for the aesthetics
of the figure on its own.

Superman & Batman in particular were not characters best suited for Kirby's style, in my opinion.

That's still "voting with your wallet", Anthony!

There's an irony here. A previous administration at DC had Kirby's
Superman faces redrawn, deeming them "too ugly", now the present
administration is releasing action figures "saluting" Kirby with a Superman
uglier than any he ever drew!

I disagree.
Kirby didn't draw Superman following an official and dull canon but
rather, he did portray him in its own distinctive and expressive style.
As a matter of fact, I find that his Superman (and many of his own heroes)
show a sense of nobility in harmony with a superhero character.

Somebody like Neak Adams has an incredible gift to draw naturalistically
but, his Thor, for example, never quite captured the nobility Kirby was able
to give to the same character.

Many artists draw cute but pedestrian heroes while Kirby drew them larger than life !

One more thing :
The drawing you chose to illustrate your viewpoint has been drawn during
his later years, well past his peak time… when his health was failing him.

Not very fair and so very far from being representative of THE KING's career !

I wouldn't call Kirby's Superman handsome, in the classical sense, but I do
think he looks cool. I just like that figure, but I suppose I may be in the
minority. Still, that Kalibak looks dead-on, no?
