I am sorry for your loss, JB. I always enjoyed reading Florence stories on the forum over the years. I hope our two cats (Bruce & Vader) live long and happy lives like Florence did.

Florence was quite tolerant of my visit to JB's just over one year ago.  She even posed for this picture and was most talkative.

I have always been amused by the term "pet owner."

Whoever came up with that one doesn't understand the relationship between the pet and their human.

My condolences - I can understand what you're going through, after having gone through a similar situation with one of my Siamese a few years ago.
